A Trusted Approach – My Work with Versus Arthritis

In November 2024, I had the privilege of sharing yoga with Versus Arthritis, the UK’s largest arthritis charity. I led a session at their weekly meetings at Bournville Church, helping participants explore movement and meditation to support their well-being.

Here’s what Joy Rawlinson, Regional Officer at Versus Arthritis, had to say:

“George gave her time to come & support our Versus Arthritis group to understand more about different types of movement & meditation that can support their arthritis. The group absolutely loved the session & George answered all their questions & led a 30-minute-plus activity. I would recommend George’s workshops to anyone who needs that extra support to get moving to improve their health.”

Yoga offers a gentle yet effective way to manage chronic pain, fatigue, and mobility challenges.

What to Expect in Each Class

Each session is designed to be accessible, nurturing, and supportive. You can expect:

Joint Mobilisation – Gentle movements to release stiffness and improve circulation.
Seated & Standing Yoga – Postures and movement sequences that can be done from a chair or standing.
Strength & Balance Practices – Enhancing stability and confidence in movement.
Breath & Meditation – Simple, accessible techniques to calm the nervous system.
Slow, Rhythmic Movement – Practiced with compassion and curiosity, fostering a deep connection with your body.

This approach ensures that everybody—regardless of ability or experience—feels safe, empowered, and supported on their yoga journey.
